Purpose of the job:
The Plant Supply Chain / Logistics Manager is responsible for the entire supply chain of a Plant from getting goods from suppliers, through manufacturing goods to delivering as per internal or external customer’s request. Ensuring smooth communication and alignment between customer service planning, scheduling, production departments, QA and shipping. Aligns with the BU SC Manager on network optimization and intrasite deliveries.
Responsible for executing and continuous improving Plant Supply Chain
 
Key Responsabilities:
·      Collaborates with customer service on order entry, forecasting and deliveries to customers
·      Master Production Planning: Collaborates with central production planning on capacity utilization, stock level requirements and ensures plant specifics are itranslated into planning
·      Scheduling: Management of shop orders and stocks, optimization of production runs, calculation of demand
·      Inventory Management: optimize inventory levels to achieve targets
·      Logistics Operations: Responsible for shipping and OTIF delivery, Internal movements, goods receipts, external Warehousing, and Transport. Drives a zero-accident culture (HSE), optimizes movements and (external) warehouse capacity, ensures accurate physical stock takes and proper shipping documentation

·      Collaborate with BU Supply Chain: Aligns with BU SC Manager and other Plant SC Managers in the BU on optimal network planning, required capacities, intracompany deliveries
·      Collaborate with procurement: responsible for call-of of materials to  ensure production
·      Continuous Improvement: drives continuous improvement in the total Value Stream of the plant with focus on lead-time reduction.
·      Builds and motivates a successful team that drives performance and embodies the Trivium values
o   Creates a strong performance management culture, recognizing achievements and quickly acting on consequences
o   Assess the current team's capabilities against role expectations. Build the team's capabilities to be able to grow into future roles. Ensures succession for key roles, collaborates with HR on succession plan
·      Understands and acts on OHI feedback (employee survey feedback) and drives actions to increase ownership of all employees in Supply Chain

·      High flexibility required from customer (lead times in days) Vs lack of flexibility from metal suppliers (lead times in months)

Decision making authority:
·      Decision to ship goods to customers.
·      Decision to supply components and raw materials from Intragroup or suppliers.
·      Decision to supply printed sheets from intragroup or external printshops
·      Decision to launch production orders.
·      MRP parameters (Safety stocks, batch sizes, lead-times, …)
·      Schedule compromises and optimisation
 
Know how:
Education & Training:
·      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business  (ideally also Engineering), ideally focus on:
-       Supply Chain (S&OP, stock management, sales admin)
-       Lean Operations would be advantageous
 
Experience:
·      Design thinking
·      Full supply chain life cycle, Mater Planning, S&OP and plants scheduling
·      Procurement
·      Inventory optimisation
·      Supply chain management software’s (ERP’s, EDI, Scanning, S&OP, …)
·      Customer audits, ideally FMCG customer audit experience
·      B2B sales
·      ‘Real’ P&L /General Manager responsibility
·      Languages (German native plus English mandatory, French, Italian and/or Dutch nice to have)
·      Experience as trainer, with train-the trainer programs
·      Sales Experiences advantageous
